PictureStudio–
Product System

As PictureStudio added new models, tools, and workflows, the product needed a shared structure that could absorb those changes without every new feature feeling like a separate experience.

CHALLENGE

Shaping an evolving product

The challenge wasn’t adding more. It was making sure everything still felt like PictureStudio.

PictureStudio kept versioning up. New models introduced new inputs, new tools opened up new workflows, and small experiments sometimes became core parts of the product.

The challenge was giving all of that a shared logic so new features didn’t feel like they belonged to different products.

PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE

Giving everything a place

Shaping the overall structure of PictureStudio: how someone moved between generating, editing, training custom models, saving work, and returning to it later.

As those areas became more capable, the architecture had to make room for them without turning the product into a collection of separate tools.

Interaction System

Reuse and repeat

Patterns like chips, panels, cards, menus, selection states, and contextual actions were designed to work across different parts of the product rather than solving the same problem differently each time.

That gave new features a familiar starting point and made the product easier to learn as more was added.

VISUAL SYSTEM

Keeping the visual language consistent

Typography, color, spacing, iconography, components, and states created a shared foundation across the product while leaving the imagery and creative work to stay front and center.

Because I worked across both product and brand, decisions made in one often informed the other.

Impact

Design Leadership

I moved between defining core product decisions myself and setting direction for other designers to take focused areas further, reviewing the work as it developed and keeping the larger system connected.

Impact

Making change easier to absorb

The system showed up less as a single feature and more in how new models and tools could fit into existing workflows without needing to reinvent the experience each time.

That foundation helped PictureStudio keep changing without losing the sense that it was one product.
